The Sunday morning chase began after the driver ignored a Hillside police officer attempting to pull them over and sped away, RLS Media reports.
The suspect continued into Irvington where they hit another car at the Wolf Place and Naden Avenue intersection around 9:35 a.m., the report says.
The driver continued down Laventhal Avenue before crashing the car on the front lawn of a home on the 40s block, and taking off on foot through backyards -- hopping gates and fences to remain at large.
The driver of the car that was struck at the intersection received a ticket for an expired registration but was not hurt, police said.
